INTRODUCTION

Peggy has decades of experience in senior management and running her own consulting businesses. The 2008/09 market turndown claimed her position and gave her the chance to open two consulting firms and reexamine her business values. After working with insurance based Financial Advising firms, she found there was a price to pay when the strategy of making decisions for the ‘ideal’ client was not followed. She has since signed on with a firm known for diversity and trust and where clients are encouraged to have a say in the course of their futures.

CAREER CHANGE TO FILL A VOID

At the young age of 53, Peggy found her calling to work primarily with women and LGBTQ populations as she desired to fill the lack of female Financial Advisors that could address particular planning needs. She focuses on getting to know the client first, paving the path to collaborative problem solving. Client education and continual conversations are key components of Peggy’s interaction with clients.

VALUES AND COACHING SKILLS  ALIGN

Peggy believes that women in general do not make financial plans because they lose control. In valuing the person, Peggy can be a professional that moves clients to independence in managing their monies and living the way they want to live.

The values she embodies in her career are matched in The W Source, where she finds collaboration and a place to ask questions. Peggy finds that working together for each other’s good professionally honors the full-fledged, complex people that we are and gives room for important voices to be heard. In that vein, Peggy suggests to The W Source network to not be afraid to ask for help.

LESSER-KNOWN
