About: Anna M. Winningham is the Executive Vice President at Risk Control Strategies (RCS), a security consulting and investigations firm. Prior to joining RCS, Anna was a Special Agent for the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). During her tenure with the FBI she served as a case agent and a Supervisory Special Agent (SSA), overseeing multiple long-term, complex investigations. In her last assignment with the FBI, she supervised the Crisis Response Squad of the Los Angeles Field Office. Her responsibilities included oversight and management of the Evidence Response Team, the Crisis Negotiations Team, the Special Weapons and Tactics Team, and the Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) response components.
Following her career with the FBI, Ms. Winningham has provided investigative, Chief Security Officer (CSO) and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and services to RCS’ private and corporate clients. Ms. Winningham has an expertise in strategic planning and response, to include business continuity, disaster recovery, and crisis management. Over the past 26 years, she has testified in both state and federal criminal and civil courts. She has also served as an expert witness for counsel in Federal court.
Ms. Winningham is a CISSP®, an advanced-level certification for IT professionals. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Texas – El Paso, and attended the Russian School at Middlebury College. She is a military veteran, and served in the U.S. Army as an Ordnance Officer and was assigned to the 82nd Airborne Division.
