About: Emily is a Philadelphia area native, having graduated from Sun Valley High School in Aston, PA and completing her undergraduate studies at Ursinus College. With a passion for health & patient care, Emily completed her Nursing degree at Drexel University and was accepted into their prestigious Accelerated Career Entry (ACE) program. Upon receiving her RN, BSN, Emily began her career as a registered nurse in the Jefferson Health and Penn Medicine systems. When her beloved grandmother, Grams, began suffering with Alzheimers, Emily saw first hand how caregiver families struggle to find suitable home care for their loved ones. Emily was determined to make this process easier for families. With her husband and 2 family friends, they opened the Main Line/Philadelphia franchise of 2nd Family Home Care, a Maryland based senior care agency. Emily finds helping families during stressful times, when their loved ones are ill or suffer a medical emergency, so rewarding. Being able to use her nursing background and her personal experience with Grams to give families peace of mind is the best part of working with the elderly and families.

setting, it is not always possible to have that opportunity but working as the Director or Nursing at 2nd Family Home Care (Main Line), Emily can take the time to get to know her clients, their families over the course of time, as their conditions change, and as they grow older. This type of in-depth knowledge of her clients and their needs enables Emily to create very specific, custom care plans to enhance the quality of life for everyone that comes into her care, clients as well as their families...improving quality of life is always the goal.
