About: Heather began her financial services career with A.G. Edwards, Inc. in 2000 and joined Cooney Associates in 2004. Over the years, Heather spent timing working in several roles before her current role as a Financial Advisor. This has allowed her to participate in many facets of the financial planning business during her career. Heather’s experience has laid the groundwork in creating a comprehensive platform for servicing her clients, based on providing financial advice to those who value a coordinated plan to achieve their goals. Similar to the relationship within a family, she believes that trust, understanding, and genuine communication are fundamental to her planning practice. Her desire to see her clients prosper means Heather will take on different roles as needed to see the plan through, but also will lean on her team and their experience to build stronger advocacy.

In addition to her work with individual clients, Heather has had the opportunity to service 401(a), 401(k) 403(b) and 457 governmental deferred compensation programs. She also represents a full range of financial planning and investment education services. Heather holds the Certified Financial Planner designation, the Series 7, 66, and 65 FINRA registrations, Life, Health and Variable life licenses and Long-Term Care Certificate with the State of Colorado Division of Insurance. Additionally, she holds the Accredited Asset Management Specialist (AAMS) designation from the College for Financial Planning, the Chartered Life Underwriter from American College and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) from Colorado State University.

Specialties: Heather believes that everyone deserves a secure future. To that end, she believes that financial planning and education are paramount to reaching that goal. As she works with a team within her firm, Heather has the ability to focus on specific areas of planning and grow her own expertise. Heather is a Chartered Life UnderwriterTM in addition to Certified Financial PlannerTM, this additional experience has fostered a love for risk management and mitigation. This area of specialty includes; estate planning, multi-generational planning, life and long-term care insurance, property & casualty analysis, and employer benefit reviews.
